Shed this rotting skin
My flesh falls off like holy lies
Ignoring when too much is too much

The spirit escapes this rib cage
But maybe I let it go
A structure remains but seems powerless
But maybe I’ve just stopped trying

The flesh on the ground continues to rot
And I am left without feeling
